“Post-World War II rules are dying, old alliances shifting and traditional roles shed.”
This quote brought up something from this weekend. During this Christmas weekend, it was quite funny watching the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story”. Ralphie’s mother says to Randy to eat his food because there are children in China starving. Let’s fast forward beyond the post WWII rhetoric and it just might be America with the starving children.
The rules around the world are being rewritten, and the United States for the first time in over in 100 years is the one not writing them. Even with China being loaded with debt like the United States, they know where the world is going, and it’s away from paper to hard assets like gold and silver. Trump is going to have his hands filled with China in the years to come. China is beating us in nearly every category across the board from trade to diplomatic relations. The United States continues to have the most powerful military, but diplomatically we have caused more trouble than good. The United States continues to use NATO as a proxy to pressure Russia and Putin. NATO is about useless these days, and only the Democratic and Clinton regimes cared about pushing war with Russia. The old Western power structures are useless and there is no need for them any longer.
